Construction Logos
Is it OK to use Myspace, Facebook, iTunes logos when linking to their site?
Hi all,
I’m building a site for a singer/songwriter. I have to build a CMS with it, so the build-out will take a little while. In the meantime I want to put up a landing page saying the site is under construction, but check out her Myspace, Facebook, and iTunes.
I was hoping to use the respective company’s logo to link directly to her pages on those sites.
Is it OK to use them or do I have to obtain permission first?

Not sure how you would obtain permission. Assuming your artist is just starting out, it seems unlikely anybody significant (MySpace/Facebook employee) would notice your use of the logos.
Even if you were doing anything illegal, you would receive a polite request to remove the logo, and all you need do then is remove it. It’s only people/companies who are asked to perform an action and refuse (or ignore the request) that get taken to court
