What is the difference between web design and graphic design?

Well, I'm getting closer and closer to graduation, but I am confused about what should be college.i want to be a web designer.what course should I take. I want to make interactive websites are attractive, large and have fun to do so. but it seems that I should have web design and graphic design or something.

In college I was a graphic design major and now I am a freelance web designer. After I graduated, I went back to get a certificate in web design and publishing. It great that you are interested in web design, this area is booming and many companies are constantly updated, professional sites. Graphic Design courses are ideal to take, because you learn about typography, layout and presentation of creative, stimulating their creativity. Some core courses are included in Internet design graphic quality. Most universities also offer a certificate of web design, that allows you to learn the tools and web programs like Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Flash.
