what web sites will let you download a recording studio for free?

You might get a more knowledgeable group of answerers if you ask this in the software section.

I know you want free, but if you spend up to 20 bucks you can get various programs which will give you control of around 16-20 tracks with a lot of other great features. For 10 bucks you can also find a lot of software. Free really limits you here to mostly demos.

Check downloads.com if you haven’t already. Ejay is what I use for mixing music and creating song, I’ve not found a reason to stop using it yet, it’s a cheap and very capable program.
