Business Logo Designers
Too all graphic designers, how many artworks can an design agency do in one day?
Like maybe an average day, not talking about books but more likely, business cards, stationeries, maybe logo, brochure and all that smaller jobs.
Depends on how many designers on staff. A small agency with, say two designers can crank out a dozen decent business cards in a single day, but, perhaps, not even one entire corporate identity in a week.
But more warm bodies means more work comes through.
The problem is, by what you mean by an “average day.” An advertising agency, with a dozen designers may not finish an entire print campaign in a week. Of course, this wouldn’t fall into your “smaller jobs” category. But, even smaller jobs vary and, for my clients, at least, even the smallest job deserves my full attention. That means the job is done when it is done, whether it is completed within an hour of the client’s signing the work order, or the first rough drafts don’t show up on his desk for a couple of days.
Another example, some clients cannot afford to pay for origianl artwork on a business card. I WILL take the time to help him find the best, most appropriate clip art for his application, and make whatever changes needed to personalize the piece. He might have his first rough drafts within an hour. Another client may want original artwork created. Between rough drafts, reworks, to a finished comp, a day or two might pass. As you can imagine, the second client will be paying me a LOT more than the first one.
I know print shops that ONLY do standard business cards using a limited set of clip art options. These guys can churn out dozens of jobs before lunch.
On the other hand, an originally researched and created logo may take weeks.
