Is it advantageous to use the logo shirts and sweaters?

I saw the canal style and should be advised not to wear clothing logo because it looks cheap or you want to show it can afford these clothes logo. So I was wondering, is it cheaper to use a logo shirts and sweaters in Hollister, Abercrombie, Juicy Couture, Guess, American Eagle, Ecko and Baby Phat. That it appears that none of the rich to help that unless the clothing logo design.
