Why is it that Europeans are more fashionable than Americans?
Everything I’m about to say is a generalization.
Yes, high-end designers are mostly from Europe, but we do have a couple eisngers here and there from America. We also have places like Saks and Neiman Marcus.
Yes, America has only one fashion capital (NYC), while Europe has three (Paris, London, & Milian)
I’ve just been observing, but you almost never see a European teenager with stick-straight hair, heavy eyeliner, decked out with Abercrombie & Fitch and Aeropostale clothes with the store’s name all over it. Europeans just look more chic and sophisicated and ACTUALLY stylish, but the majority of American teenagers you see obsess over their logo tees. Why do you think it’s like this?
Haha, Americans seem to have a very glorified view of Europe. I can say that where I live in Europe, that’s most definitely not the case. Most girls my age backcomb their hair, pile on the make-up (especially bronzer) and wear clothes that i suppose would be considered the equivalent of A&F. We even have a special name for them, we call them a ‘fjortis’.
Though we have very different cultures, teenagers will be teenagers. Of course there are exceptions and i agree with unclejoe1917, if you went to Paris or Milan or any of the big fashion capitals of Europe, I’m sure you would find a lot of people who dressed very sophisticatedly, but i’m sure it’s the same in America.
