Is it illegal to reproduce a logo for a design project?

I have a client who wants me to do a piece of one for a musician. who wants to add in the logos of all TV programs was the musician, and logos of other artists, the musician was shot. It is illegal for me to take all these logos Illustrator and traces of this project? I crawl because I want to be vectors and I can do all gray. I will not maul a source or anything … actually just copy them. thank you to all who can help you! oh and incase of mind, I pay for it. logos are things such as CBS, Oprah, Leno, ABC, etc. I been informed customer will not be used for commercial purposes … Does that correct?

If the logo has a C inside a circle, who has rights and can not be copied unless you have permission of the creator of the company logo. Otherwise, it is legal to copy.
