If you really want to see some work, you should serf the net! That’s what I do. You get great ideas! Just stop in to any professional mainstream or not and pick from what you like and don’t like. DO NOT STEAL PEOPLES LOGOS!! Look at something and make it your own.

Whats the best graphics design software for making professional logos?
I am new to graphics design. I am looking for the best software used in the industry to making professional logo’s and mascotes (cartoon characters). Im not talking about animation, just the actual logo or mascote.
The main softwares that graphic designers use right now are all created by Adobe. You can go to adobe.com and download several free trial outs of many programs for 30 days. I would suggest Photoshop CS2, Illustrator CS2, InDesign CS2, and Adobe Proffesional to make your PDF and print your work. All other programs are really not used at a professional level.

How to/program to design a logo, free!!!!!?
I need to design a logo for my photography biz… something i can place on pictures (not a watermark)… i have word and publisher etc..not sure if i can use any of these…. please do not recommend a logo program that is not free… if i can’t save it to my computer free don’t mention it..if it is going to have demo or water mark on it when i save it don’t list it pleezz..thanks!

Why is it that Europeans are more fashionable than Americans?
Everything I’m about to say is a generalization.
Yes, high-end designers are mostly from Europe, but we do have a couple eisngers here and there from America. We also have places like Saks and Neiman Marcus.
Yes, America has only one fashion capital (NYC), while Europe has three (Paris, London, & Milian)
I’ve just been observing, but you almost never see a European teenager with stick-straight hair, heavy eyeliner, decked out with Abercrombie & Fitch and Aeropostale clothes with the store’s name all over it. Europeans just look more chic and sophisicated and ACTUALLY stylish, but the majority of American teenagers you see obsess over their logo tees. Why do you think it’s like this?
Haha, Americans seem to have a very glorified view of Europe. I can say that where I live in Europe, that’s most definitely not the case. Most girls my age backcomb their hair, pile on the make-up (especially bronzer) and wear clothes that i suppose would be considered the equivalent of A&F. We even have a special name for them, we call them a ‘fjortis’.
Though we have very different cultures, teenagers will be teenagers. Of course there are exceptions and i agree with unclejoe1917, if you went to Paris or Milan or any of the big fashion capitals of Europe, I’m sure you would find a lot of people who dressed very sophisticatedly, but i’m sure it’s the same in America.

Is there a site to get free art work for logos?
I have no artistic ability and need to come up w/ a logo for my company. Is there a site out there w/ free logos/artwork for free to use? Or anything else you can think of that might help.
SummitSoft software has a relatively cheap program called Logo Design Studio. It is available at CompUSA or several other retailers as well as direct download from their site.
I think it costs around $30. It has premade logo’s that you can customize to your needs. It also has elements that you can use to build your own logo.
Most of the sites I have seen that offer “free” logos are not very good. You get a thumbnail image for free and then they want to charge you for something you can actually use.
www.acidfonts.com has a free logo generator of sorts. It creates something out of your company name. But you can’t really add pictures, just textures and text.
